FREE GED CLASSES

We provide free faith-based GED classes every year. Students are expected to attend classes via Zoom every Monday and Wednesday at 5:30-6:30 pm. On Fridays, class is in person and is mandatory in Henderson, NC. Upon passing all mandatory testing, students will receive their accredited GED. We also hold a cap and gown graduation for graduates with professional pictures for free. 

MENTAL HEALTH COACHING AND RESOURCES 

Unity Forward provides free compassionate, faith-based, person-centered mental health coaching and community resources to support individuals on their journey toward wellness and recovery. Our coaches empower participants by helping them develop healthy coping skills, build resilience, set meaningful goals, and connect with essential community services.

RECOVERY

We provide free faith-based recovery meetings every Friday night for men, women, and children 5 and up from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. We also hold in depth gender specific process groups periodically throughout the year for deeper individualized healing.  

Community Outreach

Unity Forward is committed to serving individuals and families in our community through consistent, hands-on outreach. On the second Saturday of every month, our team and volunteers participate in community outreach by preparing and distributing bags filled with food, essential hygiene supplies, and resources. 

Our outreach focuses on supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, senior citizens, children, and families who may be facing financial hardship or limited access to basic necessities.
